Adjectives in –ed and –ing

Adjectives in –ed are past participle forms.
They have a passive meaning
(i.e. the subject gets, receives, feels something as the result of ...).
Adjectives in –ing are present participle forms.
They have an active meaning
(i.e. the subject does something, causes an effect).
